The City of Cornelius is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of the new Higher Taste food processing and preparation facility in the City’s industrial district. Higher Taste is a family-owned company dedicated to bringing the public the freshest, most delicious ready-to-eat vegetarian and vegan foods available. Located on the southwest corner of N 10th Avenue and N Holladay Street, this new 17,194 square-foot facility will provide much-needed capacity and process space for the company’s growing client base, which includes colleges and universities, grocery and natural food stores, and hospitals, among many others. At full operation this facility is expected to employ at least 60 people, with positions including production, marketing and sales, deliveries, supervision, and administration.

“We are proud to welcome the Higher Taste to Cornelius.  The Wrobel family’s operation will provide quality jobs for our residents and a significant investment in our community,” said Cornelius Mayor Jef Dalin.

The City of Cornelius has been working with the Wrobel family, the owners of the Higher Taste, for over two years as they’ve developed the design and worked through the permitting and financing process, and is looking forward to their becoming a greater part of our community.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility was held at the project site (981 N Holladay Street) on Friday, February 8. This event was highlighted in a recent Forest Grove News-Times article: https://portlandtribune.com/fgnt/36-news/419736-323089-vegetarian-food-c...
