The Administration Department makes sure these goals are communicated consistently, are carried out in a coordinated effort, and serve as a guide in everything we do.

 

Meet the City Manager

Peter Brandom

As City Manager, Peter Brandom is responsible for leading City employees and works directly with the City Council to ensure that their goals are achieved. Peter currently oversees the following departments:

  • Administration
  • Community Development
  • Fire
  • Library
  • Police
  • Public Works

Peter joined the City of Cornelius in 2022. 

Meet the Assistant City Manager – Business Operations

Ellie Jones

Ellie Jones serves as Assistant City Manager – Business Operations for the City of Cornelius. She oversees the following City divisions:

  • Acting City Recorder
  • Human Resources
  • Finance
  • Municipal Court
  • Utility Billing

Ellie joined the City of Cornelius in 1998. 

Meet the Communications and Community Engagement Manager

Itzel Sayago

Ellie Sayago serves as Communications and Community Engagement Manager for the City of Cornelius. She oversees the following City divisions, areas, and programs:

  • City Events
  • Marketing
  • Public Information Officer
  • Youth Advisory Council

Itzel joined the City of Cornelius in 2014.
