NINTH ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING

Annual Tree Lighting

The City of Cornelius will hold its Ninth Annual Holiday Tree Lighting event on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Veterans Memorial Park, beginning at 6:00 PM. The Veterans Memorial Park is located at 1251 Baseline Street between 12th and 13th Street.

The free event will include holiday songs sung by the Forest Grove High School Choir, Sunrise Church/Hillsboro, and St. Alexander’s Catholic Church in Cornelius.  Songs will also be sung in Spanish. Before the official tree lighting ceremony, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a Cornelius Firetruck. There will be free candy canes for the children.

Santa Claus and Mayor Jef Dalin will kick off the holiday season by lighting the Holiday Tree around 6:10 PM.

Have your child write a letter to Santa and the Cornelius Youth Advisory Council will be collecting them. They will be bringing Santa's mailbox.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, please social distance and wear a face covering.
